Tuska /ˈtus.ka/
The word “tuska” translates to “pain” or “agony” in English. It is a powerful word often used to describe physical or emotional suffering.
At least once a year, the word takes on a very different meaning as the catchy name of Finland’s premier heavy metal music festival, an open air event held this year from June 28 to 30 in Suvilahti.
The festival attracts fans from around the world who come to enjoy a weekend of live performances by renowned and emerging metal bands. The event features multiple stages, a diverse lineup, and various food and merchandise vendors. It’s a vibrant cultural experience that showcases Finland’s strong connection to the heavy metal music scene, offering an exciting break from the usual business routine.
