Buckle up, business traveler!
Did anyone say After Patrty?
So, you’re coming to Helsinki for the Nordic Business Forum 2024?
Well, buckle up, business traveler, because this two-day event on September 25 and 26 is going to be packed with more brilliance than a TED Talk on a double espresso.
We’re talking keynote speakers like Mario Draghi and Björn “Nalle” Wahlroos, (and not in that order). You have industry-specific tracks, and enough leadership and sustainability buzzwords to make your LinkedIn profile shine. But between the networking and note-taking, let’s not forget – you’re in Helsinki, and the fun doesn’t stop when the panel discussions do.
What is the Nordic Business Forum?
For the uninitiated, Nordic Business Forum (NBF) is the place to be if you’re serious about staying on top of the latest business trends and challenges in the Nordic region. The speakers are global business rock stars, less tattoos but equal charisma, from professors to CEOs, all doling out wisdom on everything from disruptive tech to leadership strategies. This year over 6,500 in-person attendees and 25,000 online guests are expected, with almost half of them holding C-level titles. That’s an environment were your guaranteed to rub shoulders and high-five with the best in the business world – or at least swap business cards over a lunch break.
Why the after party at Crystal Show Club is the Perfect, Rewarding Evening Escape
Now, we know you’ll be learning all day, but after the final Q&A wraps up, it’s time to loosen that tie and enjoy Helsinki’s nightlife. The courageous leader knows when it’s the right to unwind and air out the basal ganglia and cerebellum.
Theres plenty of science that says that when it comes to conferences and networking, thoughts and ideas are similar to liquids. They do not compress. And that means once the head is filled to the brim with great ideas and business jargon, the growth progress of the mind gracefully faceplants to a total halt. Its a combination of physics, biology and mental coping mechanisms – a serious condition and if left untreated leads to the patient developing the personality of a first-gen chatbot, with a level of charisma approaching Steve Balmers Windows 95 launch.
In the short term that means that all the money spent on travel and tickets and all the hours doing orienteering on conference hall floor are wasted. Not to mention the first impressions blown as one cant stop networking. In the long term , well lets just say we hope you are already married with kids.
But have no fear. This is where we step in – Crystal Show Club, the premiere spot for unwinding in style. Located just a stone’s throw away from the NBF venue, we’re ready to help you transition from “business mode” to “relax and enjoy mode”, to ensure you are in top shape the next day to make all that invested time and money grow dividend.
A not well known fact is that our dancers are infact also professional conversationalists, they have natural ability and years of training to match the vibe in the conversation, giving each patron plenty of time to air out and find their stride and become their most interestuing selves again. Imagine a self-help conference and 6 hour audiobooks worth of clarity and confidence building in 3-4 hours for the price of a cocktail!
Picture this:
After a long day of VIP sessions (hello, Morten Hansen and Liz Wiseman!) and intense networking, you arrive at Crystal Show Club where the atmosphere is warm, the drinks are cold, and the service is impeccable.
Whether you’re looking to debrief on the day’s events with fellow execs or just let loose and enjoy some live entertainment, we’ve got you covered.
Getting There: Airport to Helsinki and Beyond
First things first – if you’re flying into Helsinki, you’ll land at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (HEL). From there, it’s about a 30-minute ride to the city center. Grab a taxi (generally speaking they’re polite and clean, and a ride that costs over 65 euros to downtown Helsinki is borderline scam) or hop on the Finnair City Bus, which runs directly to the city center.
Beware though, the central artery of Helsinki traffic, Mannerheimin tie (“Mannerheim road”) is undergoing construction work and depending on the time of the day builds up some traffic.
If you’re feeling Scandinavian, the clean and modern train will also whisk you downtown in no time.
Once you’re in the city, most hotels around the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre (NBF’s venue) are a quick tram or taxi ride away. And when you’re ready to end your night in style at Crystal Show Club? We’re just a quick jaunt away from central Helsinki. We won’t let you miss out on the action – even if your schedule is tougher than an angel innvestors calendar.
Where to Stay and What to Eat
While the NBF will keep you well-fed from either the delicious and attractive conference cafeteria or from the pampering received during the VIP sessions, Helsinki offers plenty of optiopns for culinary delights.
For upscale dining try Olo or Savoy for a taste of modern Finnish cuisine. Looking for something more casual? Head to Ravintola Kuu for classic Nordic dishes that’ll leave you smiling all the way to your next meeting.
Hotels? You’ve got options, from the stylish and upscale Hotel St George, Hotel Kämp or Hotel Maria, to the euqlly conveniently located Clarion Hotel Helsinki and Scandic Helsinki Hub. You’ll be close to the NBF venue, and when the day’s business is done, you’ll also be just a few minutes away from us at Crystal Show Club.
Wrapping Up the Nordic Business Forum and Kicking Off the Night
The Nordic Business Forum might officially end at 16:30 on the 26th, but let’s be honest – that’s when your Helsinki adventure really begins. After two days of soaking up world-class business wisdom, it’s time to unwind. Crystal Show Club is ready to welcome you with a drink, a show, and a night to remember. Because after all, even the busiest business minds need a little entertainment.
